Isaboko is a garment making project based on the notion that beautiful materials deserved to be seen, used, and cherished. We want to honor the weaver of the textiles, the dyer of the fibers, the silkworms and plants that created the fibers, and the original garment intention and life. We deconstruct vintage kimonos and obis and transform them into modern garments designed for anyone to wear. We design, cut and sew our garments in NYC.

Hiro Cardigan

Made from a reconstructed vintage haori, and worn open referencing its original garment function. With large contrasting side pockets, the Hiro Cardigan is comfortable enough for everyday wear and versatile enough for formal occasions.
