Isaboko is a garment making project based on the notion that beautiful materials deserved to be seen, used, and cherished. We want to honor the weaver of the textiles, the dyer of the fibers, the silkworms and plants that created the fibers, and the original garment intention and life. We deconstruct vintage kimonos and obis and transform them into modern garments designed for anyone to wear. We design, cut and sew our garments in NYC.

Zatsuyo Jacket

Our ionic jacket made from a deconstructed kimono or Obi belt. This jacket is a modern reinterpretation of a centuries old Eastern style, designed for anyone to wear. Zatsuyo means chore in Japanese. We hope this jacket brightens up even your most mundane tasks, and helps you to see the beauty in everyday life.
