The Problems
Where I tell you How we got here. How did we get here? By making lots of mistakes. Maybe we can make things better? lets start.

The fashion industry has significant negative impacts on the environment and people, contributing to approximately 10% of global emissions. However, the reality is that we do not actually need new clothes because there are already enough existing clothes and textiles to last humanity for the next 100 years.

Problem 1: Consumerism and Overproduction:

Consumerism and overproduction in the fashion in
dustry lead to basic designs and a lack of individuality and self-expression. This results in people not fully knowing themselves and their personal style. It is unclear whose fault this is, as it seems to be a collective issue that requires examination.

Problem 2: Disconnection and Lack of Education:

There is a widespread disconnection and lack of education regarding the fashion industry. Many consumers are unaware of who makes their clothes, how they are made, and the processes involved in textile production. This includes understanding how cotton is farmed, wool is sourced, and how polyester is manufactured. Additionally, there is a lack of knowledge about patterns and factory conditions.

It becomes clearer that the big picture problem is the negative impact of the fashion industry on the environment and people. Problem 1 relates to consumerism and overproduction, affecting individuality and personal style. Problem 2 highlights the need for increased awareness and education about the fashion industry's processes, including garment production and textile manufacturing.
