Fall Bolos are here!

Hi Everyone,
I am currently healing from a broken ankle, for some backstory check out my instagram @isaboko_ and although there is an amazing collection of reconstructed kimono chore jackets, pants, and bags coming soon, but the only products I can show you are the new bolos. Made in collaboration with Eileen Pappas, a mentor of mine back at Parsons and also an amazing designer and jewelry maker and friend, (and honestly she's still my mentor sometimes!). These bolos are made in silver and brass, and poured in Eileens home city of Athens, Greece.
The cords for the season are Red, Olive, Camo and Twist (also known as cotton candy twist.) Last time we released them we did 40 of them in all 1/1 colors, it was somewhat hard finding enough deadstock paracord to make a batch we could more easily sell online, not that hard though :) The cord is sourced from a retired paracord hobbiest's collection ... the metal beads at the tips are from a woman's collection that was past on from her mother in law's bead buisness. These are really special to me because they went though so many changes before they were perfect. The button design has always stayed the same from Eileens original craft, but the ribbon has changed so much. At first they were a hand sewn silk ribbon, then a vintage cotton ribbon, then we tried paracord which was better but just a short regular length bolo, and no one really cared. Then one day a friend asked if we could make one long enough to be a belt, and the rest is history. People started calling them isabolos which at first made me laugh, then it made me cringe, then it made me laugh again. Call it whatever you want. They can be worn as a belt, an xl bolo, a choker, a cross body necklace, and so many more ways.
Silver bolo in twist cord. This one felt really fun and playful and cute to me.
Brass bolo with red cord. In classic Isaboko red.
silver bolo in camo. I love the irony of wearing camo in a fashion context, but to be honest I don't think its ironic anymore, its just cool.
Brass bolo in olive. This is for the demure high fashion girls. Pair with your Kahite flats and the Row jackets.
The silver have been especially popular in the past. So much so that I gave one to my partner and then revoked it because we sold out a few days later. Maybe he will get one from this batch, maybe not. Eileen originally designed 4 different buttons all of which are so beautiful. Maybe if this batch sells out again we will release the next two styles. I cant wait to see how everyone wear them!
